The original  Liverpool Landing  Stage was  constructed  between 1847 and  1876. The  northern  section  was  known  as the Princes Landing Stage. Immediately behind the Princes stage was the Riverside Station. For the transatlantic  travellers it ment that  they  only had a short walk to or from the liners berthed at the Princes Landing Stage
